This role will provide behavioral therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities. This job involves the employee working with clients who engage in severe problem behavior (aggression or self-injury) that has caused harm to themselves or others. Other client needs may include instruction in toileting self-care, basic academics, and communication. In working with clients, this employee will use a variety of behavior analytic techniques as directed by their supervisor to bring about behavior change. This includes prompting and reinforcing communication, instruction of new skills, and implementation of protocols to reduce undesirable behaviors. The position will include the collecting of direct observational data, input of those data into computer systems, graphing of those data, and communication about those data to staff and care providers. Attend and contribute to team meetings on client protocols. |
